The changing of the leaves, the weather getting a bit cooler. The Parents celebrating their kids going back to school [img]wink.gif[/img] . Football season getting underway for real. Yes folks, it's time to dance like a chicken, light up the sky and have some fall fun!

Sept 4th is the Annual Riverfest and Fireworks display. The fest is from noon-10 pm with the fireworks capping off the days events on both sides of the downtown riverfront

Oktoberfest in Mainstrasse Village is Sept 9 (5-11, 10th (noon-11) and 11th (noon-9)

I haven't looked at one of greg's monthly calendars in quite some time, but a quick scan introduced me to "Taste of Clermont County."

I just had to know how Clermont County tastes, so I clicked on the link greg provided just to see what they offered.

11 restaurants (one of them LaRosa's) and American Idol contestant, Josh Gracin.

This isn't a September event, but I highly recommend the tennis tournament out in Mason. I've been there 3 times and found it a lot of fun.

Weather plays a big part, so I only recommend on a nice day.

The atmosphere is great, and it's fun to mosey from court to court to check things out.

I spent yesterday afternoon up there and watched Federer (ranked #1 in the world) beat Kiefer and Safin (ranked #5 I think) beat Murphy. I can't imagine fielding a serve coming at me at 128 mph.

Noticing a crowd by one of the practice courts, I walked up and there's Andy Roddick hitting balls. Kind of fun to see the players up close. These guys are in peak physical condition.

While there aren't too many seats in the shade, I highly recommend the shade aspect, or at least a seat on the west side of the arena so you aren't facing the sun.

Probably wont make it this year, but I did make it to the womens event (it's on the August list). I agree, it's a great time and a chance to see some great tennis. I've seen some amazing matches and had a good time every time I've gone.

Sept 4th is the Annual 5K Cheetah Walk/Run at the zoo
CINCINNATI ZOO

If I'm not mistaken (and I dont think I am) families of runners get free admission and parking that day

Sept 11th it's the Mini Grand Prix downtown starting at noon

There's one more Party at Sawyer Point, Sept 7th at 5:30

On Sept 22 and 24th there will be two Light The Night Walks for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
